THE WORLD OF DINOSAURS
It is believed this dinosaur ate other large dinosaurs. They could eat over 500 pounds of meat in one bite.
Brachiosaurus is known for its long neck—which made it look very much like a giraffe—and its short hindlegs.
This dinosaur had approximately 600 teeth during the course of its lifetime because they ate lots of fiberous plants.
Velociraptors were only the size of a turkey and had feathers. They only weighed around 30 pounds.
This dinosaur's crested skull grew to be over five feet long and made a sound to alert for predators.
It is believed that this dinosaur was very simple and slow moving because their brains only weighed 3 ounces.
WHAT IS A DINOSAUR?
Dinosaurs are prehistoric reptiles that have lived on Earth from
about 228 million years ago to the present. Birds are a kind of
dinosaur because they share a common ancestor with non-avian
dinosaurs. Non-avian dinosaurs (all dinosaurs besides
birds), which are now extinct, varied greatly in shape and size.
