Deserts are extremely dry environments that are home to well-adapted plants and animals.



Temperature:

Between -25 degrees (at night) and 104 degrees (during the day) Fahrenheit.

Vegetation:

Cacti, small bushes, and short grasses.

Locations:

Mojave, Sonoran, Chihuahua, and Great Basin (North America), Sahara (Africa), Negev (Middle East), and Gobi (Asia).

Rainfall:

Low. Average yearly rainfall is between 3 and 10 inches per year.
