GRASSLAND

Grasslands are generally open and continuous, fairly flat areas of grass. They are often located between temperate forests at high latitudes and deserts at subtropical latitudes.

Between -4 and 102 degrees Fahrenheit.

Vegetation:

Grasses.

Locations:

Great Plains of North American, Pampas of South America, veldt of South Africa, the steppes of Central Eurasia, and surrounding the desert in Australia.

Rainfall:

Moderate. Average yearly rainfall is between 10 and 40 inches per year.
